Concept UI & Game Design
Project Overview
This project was created as part of a previous game course, with the goal of designing a new thematic concept for an existing live game.
I chose Teamfight Tactics (TFT) and developed an April Fools–themed expansion set called “Fools’ Fiesta.”
The concept turns the strategic auto-battler into a chaotic carnival of fun and unpredictability, combining humorous gameplay ideas with colorful, playful visuals.
This project combines game system design and UI design, exploring how a playful theme can shape both mechanics and visual identity.
I designed four new Synergies and three Augments, complete with icon sets, sketches, and final UI assets.
Each element was crafted to express the set’s personality through clear, readable visuals while staying true to Teamfight Tactics’ established art direction.
Process & Inspiration
The process began with rough sketches and evolved through iterative icon design and interface layout exploration. The overall style and tone were inspired by the League of Legends’ April Fools skins, blending playful narrative ideas with functional UI design to create a cohesive and light-hearted TFT expansion.
